Our little town has some really cool stuff going on throughout the year!

Check it out:

Music on the Green: Every summer Mariposa has wonderful free live outdoor music concerts on Friday and Saturday nights in the park!

Mariposa Symphony Orchestra: The MSO is a region-wide symphony orchestra serving the Yosemite area. Mariposa is considered to be the smallest town in all America with its own symphony orchestra.

The county park has free movie nights on some weekends.

Mariposa County Fair: September 2 - 5 Everything you would expect from a good old time country fair.

In Oakhurst you will find the Golden Chain Theater, a non-profit community theater. We found last years production of Fiddler on the Roof to be very enjoyable!

In April, Mariposa hosts an American Civil War reenactment on a sprawling ranch south of town.

Mariposa's big wing ding is the Butterfly Festival during May. The festival includes an Art Show, Parade, Contests and lots of kids wearing butterfly wing-costumes. There's a butterfly release, but this can only take place if it is not raining and only when the temperature is 60° or above.
It is really great fun. Go if you can.

Yosemite Music Festival: This event, usually held in early July at the Mariposa Fairgrounds, features numerous acts including local and touring bands. If you choose to purchase a two-day pass, you can camp right at the fairgrounds.
