Yosemite Bug Restaurant A really cool place in the woods on the way to Yosemite on CA Highway 140. Always has vegan and vegetarian items as well as meat and seafood. Beer and wine. On some nights there is live entertainment. (209)966-6666

Smokin’ Oak BBQ Top quality tri-tip, pulled pork, chicken and sides etc. made fresh daily. Don’t forget too try thier homemade deserts! Open til 6:30 PM or until sold out.

High Country health Foods and Cafe. Very nice source for quality healthful sandwiches and a pretty complete market to boot! Breakfast and lunch only. 5186 California Hwy 49. From our Inn, drive through Mariposa town and turn left at the stop sign. This very good establishment is in your immediate right.

Jantz Bakery This place has vey nice bakery and lunch stuff. They also make “to go” lunch bags for those going into the park. In town on the main street.

Pubs with food

The Grove House This is a cool beer and wine and often music venue that also has a food truck. The menu changes frequently based on local availability. 4993 5th St, Mariposa (209) 742-9463 (hours may vary).

The Hideout Saloon Historic pub with full bar with extensive food menu and occasional live music. Has a pool table too! Kind of hard to nd. Access: take the main street to 5th and walk down the hill little bit in order to go behind the group of businesses on your left…look for their sign.

The Alley Craft beer on tap and wine by the glass. Pizza and small plates. Hwy 49 in the center of town. Occasional live music. (closed on Sunday & Monday).

Asian:

Italian/Pizza:

Pizza Factory is open late. Be sure to request thin crust if that’s your thing. Hwy 140.

Mexican:

Sonora Taco truck For really delicious and authentic tacos and other Mexican fare, visit the food truck across from the Pioneer market. Irregular hours, but usually untill 7PM.

Hitching Post This place is on highway 49, half-way between our Inn and Oakhurst…in Ahwahnee. It’s a genuine American bar with bar food and ample seating. Burgers, Fish and Chips and some nice specials. About 11 miles from our place south on route 49. 42592 CA-49 (559) 683-7917

Mexican:

Taqueria Plazuelas A fantastic family restaurant with homemade tortillas & mouth watering mole! In Raley’s shopping center on Hwy 49. Full bar. Closed on Sunday.

Mariscos Colima Delicious authentic Mexican food at very reasonable prices. What this taqueria lacks in ambience it makes up for in fresh ingredients and great salsa bar. Next to Starbucks on Hwy 41.

Indian:

Reimer’s Candies If you love quality candy and/or ice cream, you de nitely need to stop here! On Ca 41 north of Oakhurst towards Yosemite, next to El Cid Mexican restaurant.

Fish Camp

To get to Fish Camp from the park, take route 41. Fish Camp is about 5 minutes past the gate heading out of the park.

Tenaya Lodge, a large resort operated by the old Yosemite Park concessionaire, has several restaurants from fine dining to casual.

Inside Park

Aramark operates all the restaurants in the park, from fine dining to basic fare. These are the best dining opportunities:

The Ahwahnee: Historic hotel in Yosemite Valley (inspiration for the hotel in The Shining). Patio for coffee or drinks, lunch, or fine dining dinner option (dress code in force for dinner).

Yosemite Lodge, across from the Yosemite Falls bus stop has three places to eat: Mountain Room: fine dining with a great Yosemite falls view. Mountain Room Lounge Bar: with bar menu. Base Camp Eatery: Food court with decent fast food at decent prices.
